DROP OFF/ PICK UP
Classes will be drop off only. All students must be signed in/out by a parent or guardian. Do not drop off your child at the door without being checked in! Face masks are currently optional at our studio. However, note that depending on community transmission rates of Covid-19 our mask policy may change status. Please ask about our current policy before you register to make sure you are comfortable with our policy. Students will receive a temperature check upon entering our studio. Do not leave until your child's temperature has been checked!
DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD SICK TO CLASS. WE WANT TO PROVIDE A SPACE THAT IS SAFE FOR ALL CHILDREN TO ENJOY, ESPECIALLY THOSE WITH VULNERABLE CONDITIONS. :)
When our face mask is in place: Students are required to wear their face masks the entire time they are in class regardless of vaccination status. Although we understand fabric masks are the most comfortable option, we encourage parents to upgrade their child's mask to Kn94, Kn95 or other surgical style masks with polypropylene and meltblown filtration.Do not enter our studio prior to your class time. Early drop-off or late pick-up is not allowed. You will be charged a $20 fee per day for late pick-ups. On the occasion that you are going to be late, you must call or email our studio. If an older child is walking home, please send an email consenting to info@creative-youth.com. Students will not be allowed to leave alone, or dismissed to an unauthorized adult.

MEDICAL INFORMATION
Please complete the MEDICAL CONCERNS box in your online account on SawyerTools. Please inform us about any behavioral, sensory or learning issues such as superpowers like ADHD and Anxiety and whether or not your child will be medicated during their class. This way we can accommodate your child and provide them with any special instruction and support they may require. Breaks are encouraged!
CANCELLATION POLICIES AND VIRTUAL LEARNING
If your child misses a class due to illness or Covid-19 cancellations, we will issue a refund for any missed class as long as you notify us 24 hours in advance. No shows without prior notice will not be refunded. If classes are canceled due to exposure or if county cases rise significantly enough to cancel in-person learning, full refunds will be issued for those who cannot make the transition to virtual classes. If MCPS returns to virtual instruction full time for the rest of the school year, we will follow suit and return to virtual instruction until it is safe to return to in-person learning. However, we will not be renting machines during the school year for virtual classes.
We understand that our classes will operate a lot different than previous years but we are sure your child will enjoy their time making new friends, catching up with old ones, and bringing their creations to life. We ask for full transparency from you in regard to Covid exposures and illness. We are committing ourselves to continue our program in person if we are safely able to do so. As a parent myself I understand how much our children need their normalcy and how their mental health depends on our village to take care of each other. Without our coordination, they are the ones who continue to take the hits. As with any indoor activity we understand it is still a risk, so we are offering full refunds for those who prefer to cancel their classes when transmission rates are high. We wish your families health, and we look forward to continuing with classes in a safe and sanitary environment.
